The most bonding part of a team trip is rarely the organised activity — it is cooking a meal together. Splitting the washing, the frying and the table-setting pulls people together faster than any icebreaker.
Every property here has a kitchen, but "has a kitchen" covers a wide range: some are full western and Chinese kitchens that can handle 20 people, others are a kettle-and-noodles corner. Some allow open flame and BBQ; others forbid it for fire and neighbourly reasons.
One practical point: large supermarkets are scarce inside the scenic area. Buy for 20 in one trip in Deqing town or Yucun — do not count on topping up on site.
Ask whether you can use open flame, how many burners there are, and whether cookware and utensils are provided. A "kitchen" with only a microwave cannot feed a team.
Some properties allow outdoor BBQ with a grill and space; others forbid it outright. Properties with BBQ facilities are flagged in the filters.
Supermarkets inside the scenic area are limited and pricey. Shop in Deqing town or Yucun, and bring a cool box for fresh items.
Most properties expect guests to clean the kitchen and take out rubbish; some charge an extra cleaning fee. Confirm before you arrive.

Some properties support, or can help arrange, a local chef to cook on site; the fee is negotiated separately. Call us to check whether a particular property can do it.
